Cognitive Puzzle Assessment
Cognitive Puzzle Assessment
3 short memory scenes, then 32 reasoning puzzles across four areas: numbers, shapes, made-up-word logic, and mirrored or turned patterns. It gives an indicative IQ-style estimate with a range, plus a score for each area. Plan for roughly 15–20 minutes.
- The puzzles adapt: a right answer makes the next one harder, a wrong answer makes it easier, so most people miss a fair number of them. That is how the test works, not a sign you did badly. Your estimate depends on which puzzles you reached, not on the raw count of right answers.
- Speed never changes your score. Only the riddles have a limit (30 seconds each, and a riddle that runs out counts as missed).
- Every puzzle has four options, so a blind guess is right one time in four. The scoring allows for that: answering at random will not raise your estimate, and a lucky guess counts for less than a solved puzzle.
- The made-up-word and ordering puzzles use no real vocabulary or trivia, but they need basic English, so that area favors people who read English comfortably.
- The number, shape, made-up-word and pattern puzzles are generated fresh from a random seed each run. The riddles come from a fixed bank of 25, so a riddle you have met before is easier for you.
About Cognitive Puzzle Assessment
32 adaptive puzzles and a visual-memory round: an indicative IQ-style estimate with an honest range.
Three short memory scenes, then 32 puzzles that adapt to you: number sequences and rules, shape patterns and matrices, logic and ordering puzzles written in made-up words, mirrored or turned patterns, and a few timed riddles. The puzzles are generated fresh from a random seed each attempt, so there is no answer key to memorize (the riddles come from a fixed bank of 25). The result is an indicative IQ-style estimate with a likely range and a score for each area; the scoring allows for the one-in-four chance of a lucky guess. It has never been normed on a representative sample and is not a clinical IQ test. Speed does not change the score except that a riddle which runs out of its 30 seconds counts as missed, and the made-up-word logic needs basic English.
