About DJ Console
The original K3N8H Music library in collections, a real persistent local library, dual decks, real BPM detection — all in-browser.
A real two-deck DJ console: 3-band EQ per deck, an equal-power crossfader, genuine BPM detection (not a guess), waveform scrubbing, cue points, tempo control, and opt-in offline playback. Built entirely from the original K3N8H Music library, organized into collections. Load tracks by dragging real files or whole folders straight from your OS file explorer (recursive folder support, not just flat files) — click-to-pick still works too. Echo, reverb, and bitcrush are fully editable live. A Document Reader reads a .txt/.md file aloud with the browser's real text-to-speech. A new Local Library page (/play/library) grants access to a real on-disk folder ONCE (Chromium's File System Access API) and remembers it across visits — no re-picking, just a real per-session permission check — then reads real ID3/Vorbis/MP4 tags (artist, album, title, embedded cover art) via music-metadata running entirely in-browser, and browses the result by Songs, Videos, Documents, Artists, Albums, real on-disk Folders, Playlists, Favorites, Recently Played, Recently Added, and Most Played, plus a one-click shuffle-all and a real countdown sleep timer. Firefox/Safari (no File System Access API) get an honest session-only folder pick instead of persistence. Background/lock-screen playback controls use the real Media Session API on mobile.

Tempo and pitch move together (classic turntable behavior) — independent key-locked pitch shifting isn't built. All tracks are original work. The Document Reader only supports .txt and .md files. Persistent local-library folder access (remembered across visits, no re-picking) needs the File System Access API — Chrome/Edge/Opera on desktop; Firefox/Safari get a session-only folder pick instead, clearly labeled as such. Real audio-tag reading falls back honestly to a filename/folder guess (marked as a guess, not presented as a real tag) when a file has no usable tags. Background playback on mobile uses the real Media Session API, but whether a browser keeps executing at all once the OS fully backgrounds it (not just switches tabs) is that browser's own decision, not something this site's code controls.
