Plain English to Code Translator

Say what you want to build, or paste your own Python or JavaScript. Get working code in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java or C#, run it, have it explained in plain English, and practice writing it yourself. Everything runs in your browser: no account, no AI service, nothing is sent anywhere.

Try:

How it works, honestly: each task is a program written once in a small language-neutral form, then printed as idiomatic code in each language. The JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java and C# versions were each compiled or run and checked to print exactly what the built-in interpreter prints. Other languages are not offered because they could not be tested here. Search is keyword matching, not AI, so rephrase if you do not find what you want. The Translate tab reads a clearly listed subset of Python and JavaScript, was checked against the real Python and Node on more than 230 programs, and refuses anything outside the subset instead of guessing.

About Plain English to Code Translator

Describe a task or paste Python or JavaScript, then run it, translate it, have it explained in plain English and practice writing it. Runs in your browser: no account, no AI service.

Three ways in, all on your device. Describe a task in plain English ("fizzbuzz", "bubble sort", "join two tables") and get a tested program in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java or C#, with the steps explained and a button to run it in the page. Or paste your own Python or JavaScript and the tool reads it, runs it, explains every statement in plain English and prints it in the other languages. Or switch to practice: write your own JavaScript for any of the programs and it is run against the sample and extra inputs, with hints and a solution when you are stuck. The library has 119 programs (text, numbers, lists, searching and sorting, recursion, dictionaries, simulations, interview classics) plus 30 SQL and HTML/CSS examples with a live preview. Pasted code must stay inside a clearly listed subset; anything outside it is reported with a plain explanation instead of being guessed.

What you get

  • Live tool at /play/code-translator (free, unlimited use, no account, works without an internet connection once loaded)
  • Commercial license: white-label/embed this tool on your own site

Every program in the library was run and its output checked, and the JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java and C# versions were each compiled or executed and compared with the built-in interpreter. Other languages are not offered because they could not be tested. The tool only knows the tasks in its library and says so when it has no match; always read and test code before relying on it. SQL and HTML/CSS examples are shown as text and are not translated.
